DAR Award Presented to Sarah Wilemon

Congratulations, Sarah, on receiving the Daughters of the American Revolution Award!! Sarah has demonstrated a maturity that makes her stand out. She has taken the lead in her education, picking advanced and honor classes. She has demonstrated her leadership by contributing to the conversations in class as well as her online classes in a very informed way. When asked to do something, she always puts forth her best effort, researching and studying a topic before she presents any information. She is very dependable, holding down a job while taking advanced classes and completing her senior year in high school at Alpine Christian School. The DAR Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest, created in 1934, is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. This program is only open to high-school seniors whose schools are accredited by their state board of education. Only one student per year may be honored as a school’s DAR Good Citizen.
